THE PROBLEM OF MORAL CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE PERSONALITY IN ADOLESCENT AND YOUTH AGE
Abstract
Annotation. The article is devoted to the theoretical analysis and presentation of the results of an empirical research of the moral consciousness of a young person. Purpose: to reveal the levels of individual’s moral consciousness, the peculiarities of experiencing moral feelings in adolescence on the basis of theoretical analysis and conducted empirical research.
Methods: Analysis, synthesis, and generalization have been used to show that feelings perform a reflective function; to present modern theoretical positions on the given problems; to analyze the results of the empirical study of moral consciousness in teens and adolescence.
Results: the problem of moral consciousness of teenagers and adolescents has been considered. The scientists’ views on the problem of formation and development of the moral consciousness of the personality have been covered. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of moral and ethical responsibility as a component of moral consciousness has been presented. The results of empirical research on the levels of moral consciousness that are characteristic of the selected sample have been presented. Emphasis has placed on the concepts of becoming and opportunities for the development of the individual moral consciousness. The influence of the level of moral consciousness development on the emotional and behavioral components of a person's life has been shown. The problem of formation and development of the moral consciousness of the individual has been analyzed. The data of empirical study of moral consciousness, moral and ethical responsibility in the sample of teenagers and adolescents have been presented.
Conclusions: Levels of individual moral consciousness have been revealed. The role of moral feelings in the formation and development of moral consciousness has been highlighted.
